Make Room Installation in Washington D.C.

I am honored to be one of the eleven artists selected to visualize the issues renters and displaced peoples face.  My piece Aqui Estamos Y No Nos Vamos is one of the 11 artworks chosen for “The Doors of Make Room” public art exhibit. 

I'll travel to Washington, D.C. to paint the door that will be displayed as part of a public art display, in Washington, DC., “The Doors of Make Room” on the streets of Washington, D.C. in 11 different public and private spaces, from September 14 to 25, 2018. 

I am very much looking forward to meeting the fellow artists and the folks at Make Room. 

Make Room is exposing the human suffering and societal costs of the rental housing crisis and advocating for bold solutions that will end housing insecurity.
